Who are the Gibbons Firefighters?

Our Mission

“To protect the lives and property of the citizens of the Town of Gibbons and the surrounding area through emergency response, education and prevention”

About Us

The Gibbons Fire Department plays a major role in providing emergency response to the Town of Gibbons and surrounding area in Sturgeon County. The members of the community depend on the volunteers with the Gibbons Fire Department for their every day fire protection.

Men and women from many walks of life are volunteer firefighters. Volunteers include the self-employed, mother/fathers at home, shift workers, people looking for work, trades people and professionals. They are all people who care about their communities and want to be actively involved in them.

The Gibbons Fire Department responds to many calls each year. All training is carried out on Tuesday evenings at 7:00 p.m., or over the occasional weekend. Time spent on the job can range from half an hour for a false alarm to 4-5 hours in an emergency.
